A Divorce Judgment Usually Isn't Enough to Divide a CalPERS Account!

If your divorce judgment doesn't include specific CalPERS required language, our team can complete a CalPERS QDRO for you.

An award of a CalPERS retirement account in a divorce judgment is not sufficient to divide the account. If you are in need of an approved CalPERS QDRO, our team can help. We can typically have it completed and submitted to the CalPERS community property division within days. Our Complete CalPERS QDRO Solution

From start to finish, our team handles it all. We take the hard work out of the process and facilitate each aspect to process a CalPERS approved QDRO that is signed by your family law judge and submitted to CalPERS for them to divide an account. Below is a quick and simple overview of our process. To see a detailed overview of everything we provide in our CalPERS QDRO processing service follow the link below.

Initiating the CalPERS QDRO
CalPERS is notified and “Joinded” to your court case. They are then served and proof of service filed at the court. Simply put, CalPERS is now apart of your family law case.
QDRO Approval from CalPERS
A drafted CalPERS QDRO is submitted to the community property unit for approval. They review and provide an approval letter on the QDRO which is submitted to the Court during final processing.
QDRO to Court Order
An approved QDRO is submitted to the court for a family law Judge to sign, making it an order of the court. This order is what is returned to CalPERS for them to divide an account.
